This PR fixes some cores that have changed (or never worked). A health checkup, if you will. The following cores are fixed:
Two other major core updates have taken place in their respective repos:
The reason for the descriptions is that Jinja now apparently rejects files with no description. All the better for core QA.
CI is currently broken, so we don't have Tox stats, but no code outside of config here is changed, so CI fixes can come later.
