PVR Recordings

I have successfully created an xmltv file for the media available from my provider. All works well except that the xmltv category is not getting mapped to the PVR genre, which shows as Other/Unknown in recordings. But if the media tags are removed from the m3u file the genre is shown correctly in the EPG. The files I used to test are:

Ok, let me check how genre works for media. Maybe there is an error when converting the epg entry to a recording.

Are you using genre mappings?

However I think this may not work for genres at all. The good news is that it’s possible. But I can’t make the change for a few weeks as I have no laptop currently.

Do you want to ping on this thread in a couple of weeks time and I can send you a test build to try?

No. I'm not using genre mappings.

I just set that option, and the results were the same.

Just curious. I thought you might see something without the mappings enabled but I guess not. Will look into it in a few weeks.

Can with you provide a screenshot of what you see both with and without the media tags?
