currently there is a button to start the recording of tv shows in the future in yatse (android app)
It would be great to have also a button to switch back to the beginning of TV shows in the past. Today the beginning must be found manually which is very hard sometimes.
How is that possible so see tv shows in the past?
In the IPTV Simple Client it is possible to activate “inputstream.adaptive for m3u8 (HLS)” in the expert settings. Then it’s possible to use official streams (e.g. here: https://github.com/jnk22/kodinerds-iptv) to switch back to a tv show that has already began. 2nd way is to use Dash-URLs (also here: https://github.com/jnk22/kodinerds-iptv).
What you are looking for is why the Catchup feature was implemented. You can play from the start of a show using any inputstream but only use timeshifted catchup via inputstream.ffmpegdirect.

From https://community.yatse.tv/t/button-to-switch-back-to-the-beginning-of-a-tv-show/4147 I got the message that the API did not have to functionality to do this. It would be great if something could be implemented in future updates. Thansk
