Fixed wrong size caused crash in Android Oreo (8) #212

We don't do any updates for Krypton anymore.

@ksooo Sorry, didn't know that. But even if the Kodi Krypton wouldn't have that update in it - can't we update & release the add-on and have Krypton users actively update the add-on? That would save them the need to upgrade to Leia (if they prefer Krypton).

@ksooo I would like to clarify my request: I want the fix I committed to the VBox add-on to be available for any Krypton user. How can we build & release only the VBox add-on (so users can update it in the Add-on settings, by pressing the "Update" button)? It is very important, since the Add-on without the fix I made, causes the Kodi to crash for Android 8 users.

Then, it's time for those users to switch to Leia I'd say.

Hello @relipo - Is there any way I can still update this Add-on and continue using Krypton? I have problems with screensavers and sleep when using Leia and would very much like to continue using Krypton. Unfortunately, I now experience the crashing as described in this thread. Thanks in advance.

No, it’s not possible. The current stable is Matrix.

Thanks for messaging back quickly. Just before I give up here, is it not possible to compile the Add-on and or Kodi to include the fixes that were previously committed?

It might be but the build system changed for binary addons in Leia. I’m not sure there is anyone who still has a working build system for Krypton.

So in short, yes it’s possible. Will it be quite difficult: yes.
