PVR manager is starting up at 0% forever #278

After installing enigma2 plugin and trying to run TV in the upper right corner there is

PVR manager is starting up 0%

and rotating circle forever. In the log I see message that channels have been loaded.

What I tried:

  1. Uninstall and install Kodi again, but the plugin is back also remembering all configuration.
  2. When I try to uninstall the plugin itself from Kodi UI it freezes and after killed by android the plugin is back with all configuration
  3. I deleted the cache from within Kodi settings (no change)

Phone used is Samsung S10 running on Android 10 Network is reachable, confirmed by opening webif Attached are logs from uninstall attempt and from the pvr manager is starting with 0% foreve

I'm not using it very often, but I'm sure some time ago (unfortunately I'm not sure how long the time is) it was working flawlessly.

hi there i'm having the same issue but this was after i update from openpli version 6.3 to openvision 10

Sorry for late answer. Downloaded latest Kodi 19.0-Beta1 (18.9.801). Installed and tested. Here is log: kodi_19.0-Beta1_18.9.801.log

The kodi still shows PVR manager starting at 0%, however do not freezes immediately (but VU+ box freezes immediately). I'm able to exit the TV section of kodi to main menu. When I press power button and select exit the kodi freezes. Must be killed by task manager. After kodi is killed also the VU+box un-freezes and can be used again. Attached is the debug log. To me seems very similar to the previous ones as it seems to get all the channel, but writes complaint Source read didn't return any data! Hit eof(?) and loads them again.

I have used my post from Mar 24 and searched log for duplicate urls, found some, but have no idea if it correct or not as they have different headers this time. What is strange is that there is line (multiple times) CFileCache::Process - Source read didn't return any data! Hit eof(?) and immediately after this line there is AddOnLog: pvr.vuplus: pvr.vuplus - GetHttp Got result. Length

Edit: Forgot to mention that result is the same with skip initial EPG load enabled or disabled (both settings tested)

Maybe it’s possible to connect to your Enigma2 device remotely and I can try to debug it from here. Have you used http://gitter.im? We can chat there and see how we progress this.

It appears to hang on reading the EPG data but very hard to tell just from the log exactly why this causes a problem.

I'm also experiencing this problem using kodi 19.1. sometime app will freeze.

Does it unfreeze after a few minutes?

I found the reason! I know where is the problem, I done a test . So

  1. I opened the dreamboxedit to add new butique "test"

  2. Then u have to go to kodi > edit enigma2 plugin > channels > and please do like bellow image.

  3. image

  4. save and restart.

  5. problem gone, u can use the only recordings on the enigma, still u can not view channels but i solve it using another app on my android tv > calling DreamView . here i watching my all chanells from my enigma, on kodi im watching recordins

When I open the kodi on the right corner u can see error image

On the bellow image u can see the recordings so connections with enigma is established image

Better if someone fixit . But problem is during fetching channells from butiques.

Kodi log says loaded 58K channels, which is not true. Still PVR spinning and keep stay 0%

Hi @phunkyfish I don't know but my kodi.log file is too big to past in pastebin, I have tried Pastebin, ubuntu pastebin, and one more.. but no luck.. I don't know where is the exactly the core issue. PVR manager after OSCM update to 19.1 stop to loading( we knows that ). Yesterday i wait long time and suddenly PVR Manager started to load channels and back to works. For yesterday, I do have a big log file but i can't past it on Pastebin.

Pls make me other suggestion.

Try using a GitHub gist. I don’t think they have a size limit.

You could also supply a log without debug switched on. Maybe that will give a hint that would be harder to find in the full debug log.

@IcePlanet @AndKe if you can test the latest version of the addon using a Kodi Nexus nightly then hopefully kodi should start correctly. You would need version 20.3.0 of the add-on to test it.

Hello Phunkyfish   Very sorry for responding this late, I was away and internet connection was bad. I tested today and see some improvements:

  1. Kodi does not freeze - Great
  2. Receiver freezes for cca 1 min (the same time I see announcement kodi is starting up) - Not so great but I can live with this
  3. When attempting to play channel I see loading wheel in middle, then my cursor is multiplied across whole screen and audio starts, but no video, the top and bottom bars are flashing - Might this be problem of nightly?   Best regards and thank you for your great work!   Peter

Maybe, but at least we are getting closer. Can you provide a debug log of just playing a channel?

Hello   Not sure how to limit debug to playing channel only. Attached you can see log of starting kodi, getting to TV, waiting for channels to load (takes cca 1 min) and then playing one channel. I don't know why but this method works on my windows PC with kodi Omiga. I am using the "IPTV Simple Client" and it always 0% for PVR service. There is a method works for watching IPTV. Here are the steps:

  1. Download another client named "Demo PVR Client", and after it installed, you can open "TV" and the 0% issue is gone.
  2. Install the "IPTV Simple Client", after installed, set the IPTV source in the Add-On before launching this add-on.
  3. Then channels of 2 clients are displayed in "TV" page, and both work.
  4. Disable the "Demo PVR Client", the channels of "IPTV Simple Client" left and can still be played from "TV" page.
  5. I tried to remove the "Demo PVR Client", the 0% issue came back. You can try it on other platforms and other add-ons.

hello, tell me if the problem was solved, I have the same problem but on pvr simple client, and what is very strange is that it stopped working on both raspberries

@111deny111 Yes mu3 file loading issue fixed. Simply client version 20.13.0.1 works

@IcePlanet do you still have this problem? Have you tried a kodi 22 nightly build to see if there is any difference?

you might need to clear all PVR data before trying the latest versions of omega, and piers.

some fixes when in for addon-ids that could affect this problem.
