Abstract: SPECFEM represents a suite of computational tools based on spectral element method used to simulate wave propagation thorough heterogeneous media. Over the last 2 decades these have been extensively used by seismologists for inverse imaging the Earth's interior. In my talk, I will present our efforts towards a complete port of the packages for the exascale machines using Kokkos. Through this work we hope to integrate several diverging spectral element solvers (2D, 3D and 3D Globe) within a single modular SPECFEM++ framework that is portable across different architectures.
