Here's another data point from original RC1 (haven't tried chocolate yet) with
logcat attached. I don't get a crash, but the UI hangs as long as the cable is
connected. I'm using the cable shipped with the phone and a DVI monitor with a
HDMI adapter (known to work with laptops).

Steps to reproduce and description of effects:
1. Unlock the phone
2. Plug in HDMI cable connected to a monitor. At this point:
 - "No signal" disappears on the monitor (screen is black).
 - The phone UI sometimes rotates to landscape, sometimes stays portrait.
 - Afterward, the phone UI hangs completely; nothing moves, no response to touches. Monitor stays black.
3. Disconnect the HDMI cable. Phone immediately returns to normal (and rotates
to portrait if it rotated to landscape earlier). Monitor returns to "no signal".

Can we please get a fix for this. I've been having the same issue ever since
I've switched over to Cyanogen on my Note 2 n7100, and I'm finally about to
give up and switch back to TouchWiz just so I can hook my phone back up to my
TV again.

I have the last beta, cm-11-20140826-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi being mentioned here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2555243&page=186. Funny thing
is that when you plug-in phone through HDMI to tv, you get no vision at all.
But when you reboot the phone while plugged in to tv, it shows up and plays
videos, sounds etc. The only problem then is with screen that it only shows
vertical, not in horizontal even when auto-rotate is on.
