Instagram camera crash

What steps will reproduce the problem?
when opening camera app in instagram it just shows green screen and stops.
even if i don't want to do the photo (just take one from the gallery) i stil 
cannot do that because it freezes right after it enters camera mode.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
green screen, crash of the app

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
newest instagram (5.0, but on the previous version the problem exists as well), 
android 4.4.1 alpha 1 (RaymanFX)

same here.also happened in quick settings panel. I pull down the notification 
bar and selected the camera in quick settings panel page . When i pulling up 
the notification bar, the device black screen and reboot.

to be exact i have problem with other 3rd party camera apps. good to know 
you're working on this. i'll paste my post from xda here, maybe it helps a bit:

Best Rom ever. The only thing that concerns me is that video recording and 
photos don't work properly in apps like:
Video:
-Snapchat (you have to wait for a few seconds before it starts recording, but 
if you're on front camera, you won't be able to record at all. It will just fc. 
)
-instagram (a few seconds of non-responsive state, then fc)
Photos:
-Snapchat (sometimes it says that camera isn't responding, you have to relaunch 
the app sometimes for a few times, as soon as it enters camera mode everything 
is great)
-instagram (no fc, after uploading a picture it just closes) - I haven't found 
a way to go around this one yet, so I'm not able to post photos at all

Other than that everything is perfect (sometimes I see aosp logo for a second 
but i don't mind that). Fastest Rom ever! Thanks RaymanFX! Thanks to You our xs 
feels like it's high-end;3

Getting a similar error. If I exit the camera (e.g. by pressing home or back) 
in a third-party app (instagram and vsco cam tested), the screen turns black. 
The phone still responds (vibrates) when I press any of the hw-buttons. I've 
had this issue on beta 1,2 and 3.I have only once (on beta 2) been able to take 
a picture in instagram without reproducing this issue.
