The d2bot-with-kolbot is improved/updated by https://github.com/blizzhackers github team organization.

these were posted also on forum https://d2bot.discourse.group/t/kolbot-project-latest-updates/534

and some announcements were made in the # general discord channel as well.

You are free to compare the checksum for d2bs and d2bot which did not change between this repo and the one linked by @mf022. The only changes concern kolbot and are easily verifiable since the sources are public. Meaning if you trust this repo (and I'm not saying you necessarily should) you have no reason to not trust the other one.

Clarifications: The choice to move on was simple because @kolton disappeared in 2015 and he left no other owner or at least an admin to the d2bot-with-kolbot repository, being able to add more interested guys. The owner can also transfer the ownership of a repository to a github member/organization. But if there is no reachable owner ...

@noah- was the last devoted programmer to this project, who could merge the pull requests, but in the latest 1/2 year he became too busy irl for managing these. You should be able to see on your own, how is managed https://github.com/kolton/d2bot-with-kolbot/pulls or this section of issues at this moment.

The blizzhackers team was initiated by noah in 2018's autumn after the main d2 botting sites went down (bh.cc, then projectetal.com). The first repository there was https://github.com/blizzhackers/documentation/ which had to be the replacement for outdated https://github.com/kolton/d2bot-with-kolbot/wiki. Then was the https://github.com/blizzhackers/bhfiles.

The blizzhackers team was growing in the latest days with more owners and members who can manage issues and pull-requests, and also to ensure the project survival over time.

https://github.com/blizzhackers/kolbot is a previously forked repository of the original, but the fork was detached by github support staff at our request. All previous contributors/commits were preserved.

The same is with https://github.com/blizzhackers/d2bs and https://github.com/blizzhackers/kolbot-sonic

Anyone who wanna contribute to any repository there need only to ask to be added in the team on github , like @InterestingIndeed asked in https://github.com/blizzhackers/kolbot/issues/23#issue-559578680, or on discord/forum, a.s.o.

I added these changes on the main Readme.md - https://github.com/kolton/d2bot-with-kolbot/pull/2264 maybe @noah- could merge it.

in fact kolton had a free github account and the collaborators for d2bot-with-kolbot repository cannot have the admin rights to see the settings and to add other collaborators to that repository.

idk, why @noah- and @kolton decided to set up a public repository on a personal github account, instead on a github team, where a public repository can have multiple kinds of access, according to the role of teams, ...

But, it's the time to move on to a better choice.
