Crashing at log in, every single time started at 11am today #927

Hey guys I have a problem that just started today at 11am. My kol was working fine last night, I noticed at after 11am it keeps crashing. What it does is it tries to log in, when it changes to checking versions and has either 4 or 5 dots, it immediately crashes. It restarts, tries again to log in, goes to about 4 or 5 dots then crashes again. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the update at 10am today, cause shortly after at 11am it started doing this crashing while logging in. Is there anyway to fix this? I tried using a vpn (which I normally use when I have the normal checking versions forever r/d) but the vpn doesn't help, it's still crashing at about 4-5 dots while logging in. Anyone know the problem?

same here but wasnt after the patch aleast not right away

I fixed it so it doesn't crash anymore, however it looks like my ip got flagged by blizzard for using VPNs. I can't connect to battle net although a blizz rep told me to wait 24 hours then try. I guess we'll see what happens

I moved my d2bs and Diablo II folder to x86 program files. Launch d2bs with administrator and xp service pack 2. If i use VPN it crashes however if I don't use a VPN it works but my ip is blacklisted

Same I think blizzard did something after patch.

I was getting same issue, but it wasn't bnet, it was the dumb SVN. Do not use the SVN to update or have it on auto update. It jacks things up.

Are you guys using the updated d2bs version? for some reason for me the updated one didn't work so I downgraded it and that version was working. Im just waiting for my temp ip ban to be over in a couple days so I can try it forsure. However when I do try to connect though it does not crash anymore

for me Using another d2 copy old copy that I made 2 day ago did the trick so maybe is d2 folder casuing the problem dunno

actually it looks not its not fixed, its still crashing for some reason. I can play d2 regularly since my temp ban is gone but for some reason my d2bs is still crashing I have no idea why

Try installin or downloading D2 in another folder, dont copy you old d2, that was my fix

I just fixed it, what I did was I installed d2bs fresh off the GitHub. Then I transferred my character files over to the fresh install. I made sure to uncheck run in xp service pack 2 <- this is what fixed it. Now it is running smoothly again. Happy botting guys!

I fix it by reinstall fresh windows, fresh diablo and fresh d2bs
