Dictionary lookup is perceptibly slow #212

Hi!

When I use the “Define” feature to lookup a word in Kybook 3, I get a noticeable delay (hundreds of milliseconds). It’s not too bad, but I think that dictionary lookup could be instant? I am not sure, but I think it was instant in kybook2.

I confirm this issue, search turned to be extremely slow, ~7 seconds, not depending if I have 1 or 3 dictionaries selected. it was instant before.

What makes this issue worse is that the UI is blocked during dictionary lookup, so you can’t even cancel this.

@kolyvan is there anything I can do to help with fixing this issue? I understand that the amount of issues users report is always bigger than capacity for fixing them, but this one seems to be a pretty major and worth fixing.
