Kybook is no longer maintained, you should give up trying to get a refund or contacting the developer. I have instead been using BookFusion and Calibre to read.

Calibre is a free desktop app and BookFusion is an eBook platform that has apps for iOS & Android. BookFusion also has a working web reader that syncs the reading progress from my iPhone and iPad so that I can read easily on the desktop.

The iOS app can be downloaded from https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bookfusion/id1141834096 and you can sign up and upload your eBook via the web interface as well where they will automatically be synced to all your devices
