I will run the program and it says that it is recording but when I finish and playback nothing happens

do you have a controller connected?

For anyone having the same problem: Connect a LAN cable from your PC to PS4 and setup a network bridge on your PC. This will make a direct connection between PS4 Remote Play and the PS4 and therefore highly improve the input accuracy.
