While playing MP3 tracks, sound is intermittent

Playing an MP3 track from hard drive, I get intermittent sound, about 30% on, 70 % off. Z! and PM123 work OK.

OK, in the absence of explicit instructions, I copied uniaud32.sys from release.acp to D:\MMOS2. I then ran:

[e:\vlc2\usr\local\bin]vlc.exe -vvv --extraintf=logger > vlc-err.txt 2>&1

I looked at the logs, added a DUMPPROCESS statement to config.sys, and ran it again.

I have zipped up the log files and the dump. I will send them to you if you will provide a working method for doing so. I have tried both of my email addresses, but your email server returns:

Ok, you did correctly if you use ACPI driver. And maybe did you copy uniaud16.sys as well ?

Nevertheless, if the driver does not work, just use dart mode.
