Minor release request #28

Hi all, I checked the code and there are some fixes that are not in the latest release. Some of the changes solve some of the problems I am currently having. Would it be possible to make a minor release?

@hugosilvaguerreiro thanks for the reminder. I tagged the current master as v0.3.1 minor release.
