I suggest removing the blog system. Since adding it, we haven't written any copy for it, and now that oversight.gov is off the ground, I don't foresee us writing many posts/articles in the future. My main motivation is that wintersmith pulls in lots of dependencies, some of which aren't maintained anymore. Removing wintersmith from our dependency tree will cut down on the noise from Snyk/node-security-project too.
