Unread message count #36

"gerrymoth: Even a new message count like TweetDeck should be nice as well?
"

In Tweetdeck and other applications they store your tweets and check very X
minutes for new ones. By keeping a record of which ones you've marked as
read, Tweetdeck can show you how many are new.

Dabr doesn't store tweets OR any record of what you have read - making this
a lot harder to implement.

Definitely a nice feature to have, if it's possible.

If in cookies doesn't mean "storing a record," then yes, it's quite possible.

However, as the main screen of dabr being, the list of friends_timeline, if
there
actually is any new tweets, you would see it right away, new tweets are always
listed
on the top.

Unless, you really can't remember which ones you have read, there's little
point to
display an unread account.
