[Feature Request] Support of local RSS feeds without connection to Inoreader #4

I know this goes completely against the logic of this plasmoid, but it is the only RSS plasmoid that works as it should and it would be absolutely great if there was a version that did not depend on a service like Inoreader and could simply collect news with an OPML file or by adding the URL of the desired news page.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience of an issue that really isn't an issue.

In fact I created an Inoreader account to test your plasmoid and I can't use it directly, when I try to access the API code I get this message... I have no problem paying but I do not want to do it for a service that I really will not use, this was always like this or was it a change of API?

Thank you for your feedback. I wasn't aware of changes that Inoreader has made to API access. It still works for accounts that registered an app in the past, but seems that it is no longer possible to get a new, free API key. This basically renders the widget useless for new, free tier users and undermines the point of its further public development in its current form. I'll consider integration with another service/app, but direct support for RSS or OPML would have a significant impact on the project. So far, the widget is a thin client and it doesn't preserve reading status on its own. Therefore, it will either be limited in RSS mode, or it will have to become a complete application to track history.

How about integrating CommaFeed as another service? I used this site to read RSS for a long time without problems, without knowing the technical details the project is open source hosted on Github and it seems to me that its API is not locked to any membership because the service as such does not have, and the dev is a bit communicative on Reddit
