pngquant vs. oxipng #386

pngquant has been popular for years, and oxipng has been completely rewritten in rust.

Do you have a detailed comparison? How do I choose which one to use?

Use both: pngquant first, then oxipng.

They do different things. Pngquant converts to more efficient pixel format in a way that oxipng can't, and oxipng compresses losslessly with greater effort than pngquant.
