The aesthetics and design of your website was coherent and stuck to the theme of the project. I am not particularly experienced with reading the type of visuals included on your site, so I think it might be helpful to the users if you include a blurb briefly describing how to read and interpret your data. Also, the text on your first visual is difficult to read, but this could probably be fixed with font, font size or color. Overall your project is very interesting and your site is easy to navigate.
@emmamamula Thank you for your feedback! I hope you don't mind me asking, but what visuals do you are you speaking of specifically? Like, our network graphs and/or map? We were aware that the map is a tad small and the font is sometimes hard to read. Is that also an issue? Also, we can write a blurb about our network graphs if you think that will help.
I also like the aesthetics that you guys have done on the website also. I've played the game a couple times and i wasn't that big of a fan of the game, but i understand where you guys were going with the project. Well i was looking through the website only a couple things stood out. The first one was when i opened the map of Yharnam, it blocked the tabs on top of the website. You couldn't click on Home, About Game, or the TSV collection. The grey block with the locations also blocked the last part of the map so you couldn't really see the last part. Maybe you guys can resize the map on the website if that helps? Other then that i like what you guys did with the project. Good work!
I do not think the map is an issue, I was mainly referring to the network map. Yea I think just a brief explanation on how to read the network map could really help.
I believe that you’re image map was done very well. I like how you click on the map location and then it shows relevant information of what could be found with in the location. This creates a good tool for new and veteran players alike because they may not know that a weapon, item, or boss is present in the area they clicked. The map works great keep up the good work!
@emmamamula Alright, got it!
@achen298 That map is our biggest problem... We'll do our best to fix it, but considering we've spent hours trying to fix it, I can't promise we'll succeed.
In regards to reading the data generated, I do agree that more descriptions should be written for it. I think the problem arose because those of us working on it were so familiar with the data, that we didn't need the extra information for ourselves. I will keep in mind for future projects to make sure I include enough information so it will not be so insular.
Hey guys, I really liked your site and I love this project idea altogether even though I have never played bloodborne I find it very interesting being a fan of the dark souls trilogy and most recently sekiro. Your project intrigues me and I like seeing the connections you've made throughout the game. Your website looks great, though my only concern is your map and the iframe. It may be just my lack of experience with the iframe, but I didn't know to click on the locations instead of just hovering over them. Maybe look into if that is a possibility! Like I said I am not familiar with iframes, but I do think they are a great way to convey information. Great work guys and good luck in your future endeavors!
Hello everyone, Bloodborne team representative here!
