Haha. I was all autotools for a while back when lots of people hand rolled makefiles. Cmake imo is just like autotools v2. I keep looking for the next best thing but looks like cmake still it.

Cmake imo is just like autotools v2.

LOL, I agree. It's a baroque piece of software that we use not because we want to, but because all the alternatives are even worse. :D
