Hi Bruno!

AFAIK, this known bug is not related to the french translation but to an 
outdated
version of PyQt4 (<=v4.3, instead of recommended >=v4.4). (Or it could be 
related to
both: if you want to test it, you may turn off the translation in .pydee.ini
(main>translation) for Pydee v0.4.13+ or by commenting lines 898-908 in
pydeelib/pydee.py)
Anyway, please let me know if this is the right explanation on your machine 
(take a
look at the "About" dialog box).

I think that the default PyQt4 debian package for Ubuntu >= 8.10 (Intrepid 
Ibex) is
v4.4 (but it's still v4.3 for Ubuntu <= 8.04).

I did the test of getting the english translation through the .pydee.ini and I 
got
the same result. The version of pyQt seems OK 4.4.4 (see screenshot). My system 
is an
ubuntu 8.10 64bit

I'll have to try and do some tests to see where this bug comes from.
