Hi Ted and fastLink developers,

Thank you for creating this amazing package and answering my previous questions.

My team is wondering if you have written - or have plans to write - fastLink in other languages, especially Python, Java, or Scala. Would you shed some light?

Thanks, Katie

Hi Katie,

We are glad that you guys find fastLink of great help! We have just released version 4.0 and it is available on CRAN.

When we started this project, we wrote some of the functions in Python -- the cool thing about fastLink is that the idea travels to different languages. I will try to finish a beta version for Python sometime soon. I will keep you posted.

Please, if you have any ideas on how to improve fastLink, just let us know.

All my best,

Ted

Awesome news! The idea travels across languages indeed. We look forward to the Python version.

Much appreciated, Katie

Actually, fastLink on CRAN is only version 0.4, not 4.0 :-)

Therefore, I instead wish that the known issues with blocking and aggregate confusion tables will be worked on first. I assume that Python users should be able to use rpy2 to call R and fastLink.
