That's not correct. You can see message ID by hovering message time:

Wow, its a nice design, I haven't even noticed, might you can add a switch button in your settings panel so people can easily know about this feature, thanks!

Well, it's enabled by default. But I agree, it may be hard to discover. I'm considering an option to display message ID in other place in message (e.g. near time or even instead of it).
