Hello, is possible that menu will be in application and if application is maximized, it will be in panel (like Unity).

Abuelodelanada commented 6 years ago

This would be a great feature!!

kotelnik commented 6 years ago

I think, it is not currently supported by Plasma.

t0msk commented 6 years ago

Sad, so this applet depends on Plasma widget?

kotelnik commented 6 years ago

Not exactly :). It is a Plasma applet, so it depends on Plasma (not on another widget). And Plasma doesn't yet support conditional export of menu based on window maximized state. Once Plasma supports it, it will start working for this widget (as well as for existing Global Menu widget).

+1 for this. I currently use Plasma's "show application menu in the titlebar" feature, which saves space and seems really great to me. I love it. But when I maximise a window, I want the titlebar to disappear, and everything that was in its titlebar to get moved up to my Plasma panel. That's where Active Window Control comes in, but the menu part doesn't work. I basically lose access to my menu entirely when maximising a window.

Is there any open ticket somewhere for support in Plasma for this?

I'm not sure, couldn't find it.

Btw. you can open the menu by pressing alt+f (this usually works for opening the File menu) even though it is hidden under appmenu button in window decoration which is not visible when window is maximized.

I'm not sure now if that works since Plasma 5.11 or 5.12 but it is there.
