Firefox global menu not working #147

Hi, I'm using KDE Neon 5.14.80. When using Active Window Control in Firefox, it doesn't work as expected: when I try to click on a menu item, it gets highlighted but nothing happens.

It seems to happen only with Firefox. Thanks in advance.

Does it work if you use git clone https://github.com/KDE/plasma-active-window-control mention in #148?

nihil21 commented 5 years ago

I uninstalled the Phabricator version and I followed the step in #148, but the issue with Firefox is still present; it's strange because when I use global menu from the button in the picture below it works as expected. screenshot_20181020_010709

Ah, git clone https://github.com/KDE/plasma-active-window-control is the Phabricator version (it's just a GitHub mirror of the KDE repo).

Weird, I'm using 5.14 in KDE Neon (xenial still), and installing seems to be working with Firefox 62.0.3.

This happens to me as well. And I've been using this for the last several months (probably 6 - or more). I just have a dirty work around where I have a globalmenu widget also in a hidden panel. Then it works fine.

I've tried what you suggested and it works, thanks!

I'm happy this helped! @Void97 The university of Bologna is the oldest in the world, isn't it? How is it?

@ChrisP4 I don't know if it's the oldest, but surely it's very old, it was founded in 1088 a.d.. The major in Computer Engineering is not bad but it's very basic, advanced topics like machine learning or AI are covered only in the Master's degree.
