Clean up with "Dead Hosts" check #28

Open kowith337 opened 5 years ago

kowith337 commented 5 years ago

I've requested to check hosts lists via PyFunceble (Dead Hosts by @funilrys), here's the results...

Note: Regarding after known tests result, Facebook Zero Hosts (NoEdge) will potentially delete in future commits...

Hi @kowith337,

As you start to use Dead-Host/PyFunceble results I just wanted to mention that the INACTIVE or INVALID domains are now registered in the local database of each list (repository).

That means that once one of the previous domain (which were INACTIVE or ACTIVE) become ACTIVE (on next retest after x days) it will be automatically added to the clean.list of the tested list repository.

Please keep that in mind

Have a nice day/night.

Cheers, Nissar

^ clean.list or output/{domains, json, hosts}/ACTIVE/{list, dump.json, hosts} :smile_cat:

Thanks for more information, but I'm unclear about rest of Facebook Zero CDNs (Both from Facebook TLD itself and FBCDN TLD)

It's different than Google adservice.google.com and id.google.com because Google have many regional domains, while Facebook have many servers, but (maybe) not have regional domains, though.

Hum, I'll look and try to reproduce based on the logs and outputs when I have a bit of time.

If you need more information about how we test domains please report to the flow charts at https://pyfunceble.readthedocs.io/en/dev/logic-representation.html#domain-testing .

Cheers, Nissar
