No voice dictation shield 6.0 #1058

Hi i updated shield to 6.0 but voice dictation no longer works in spmc, when try to do search now within spmc it goes to global search, even when i turn off ok google this still occurs, any ideas? or will this be corrected?

Assign the "VoiceRecognizer" action to another key in "keyboard.xml"

As the voice serch button is now grabbed by the system, it cannot be used by SPMC anymore. I cannot realistically use a random key but suggestions welcome

hi Koying thanks for replying, i use phenomenal skin but it has no IP button in on screen keyboard, when i changed to a different skin, voice dictation works with selecting ip button, how cud i change this to say caps button instead, or can you add an ip button to onscreen keyboard, i appreciate you are not responsible for skins but would you know how to. do it

Hey Koying thanks for the fast answer, yes thats a pity, I think, if I can root the Nvidia Shield and deinstall the new Google App and install an older version this can bring the function back. Or all guys must wait for the next update - but I have no good feeling for that :)

could you change the the physical voice button to say the volume button just within search on spmc

Volume is not practical (and won't work if volume is set to fixed on Shield, anyway)

Alternativ work iss great, Thanks ! I have rooted the Shield and change to the old Google app Version: 2.2.0.138699360 (7200019) arm And deaktivatet the Google Play Store Automatic update ! works great with your SPMC 16.7.1 i have the Voice dictation back :)

Voice text working spmc 17 SPMC-spmc-Krypton-4993870-aarch64.apk but if video or music playing and try voice text it will freeze up spmc on shield tv 6.3 beta update......any help would be appreciated to get this working

i seem to have screwed up the keyboard.xml can someone please provide the ammended one for long press select for voice
