X96MINI Amlogic S905w YouTube stream only 720p #1090

Hello i am new to GitHub is there any way to stream 1080p videos on x96mini?

I have the same box than you and I can't put kodi more than 720p and when I do a test with antutu 3D it's 720p test

I think, it's not 4k box

It is 4k but you can run 4k content using usb only but for online streaming it support only 720p

Hey, is there any way to watch 1080p YouTube? Custom ROM or something like that? I bought it only for YouTube and I'm reading that it can do only 720p. I'm so disappointed.

I have found a way to watch even 4k resolution download latest YouTube tv aap from APK mirror and when it's ask for allow microphone deny that otherwise app will crash it can adjust the video quality depend on your internet speed but it says view port is 720p but the resolution will be 4k hope it helps others :)

Hey, thanks. Yes, I figured out it yesterday by myself. Latest version is stuttering for me. A lot of dropped frames. But not latest it works good. But thanks for helping. I'll try make a post in forums, to help other.

Hey. I figured out how to watch full hd on YouTube app, no YouTube TV. I can watch all 1080p ,all streams. If you are interested , I can explain you step by step.

It's simple. Please download the tools，firmware and follow the video to upgrade the software.

You need get tanix mini firmware. It's seems hard to do but it is simple. If you don't have usb to usb cable you can make one. Don't be scared it is easy , and if you don't like tanix firmware you can install back x96 mini firmware

Tx3 mini firmware is best for amlogic 905w :)). UI tanix is better than enybox
