17.6a2 refers to the tagged commit and the other one is a build from the krypton branch at that commit in the filename
as i understood https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Basics-Tagging
tagged commit equals a milestone release --> SPMC-17.6a2 -> kind of tested-release while the other is a rolling release like a nightly-relasease in LineageOS which has all recent changes that where commited by the community. SPMC-spmc-krypton -> untested-release
i dont know if im right but im also not a coder.
So is the 12-4-2017 SPMC-Krypton an improved version of 17.6a2?
I installed the Dec 4 over Dec 2 with no issues cutting over. Seems stable, live TV using HD HomeRun PVR Client freezes and resumes repeatedly as before which appeared in my build on a prior 17.4rc build. Will attach logs when I have a moment, but just curious if anyone else has experienced this. HD Home Run app itself is fine watching standalone.
That said, this build looks great on my LG OLED and feels more responsive.

What is the difference between SPMC-17.6a2 and SPMC-spmc-krypton apk that can be downloaded from http://download.semperpax.com/spmc/android-arm/ ? I thought that both were based on Krypton...
