SPMC not triggering 3D #170

16.1.2 installed on first gen fire tv.
14.2 worked great, Sony TV automatically switched to 3D when I started a 3D movie. Now it just plays the split/double video, and I have to manually switch modes. Any ideas?

Code is still there. Did it work on 14.2 after the upgrade to FireOs5?

That's a good question. I hadn't even tried until I upgraded to 16. I have a fire stick that I haven't done anything to aside from upgrading to FireOS 5. I'll try it out and let you know.

I have a AFTV first gen as well as a NVidia Shield and so I tested 3D after reading the above on the AFTV with the same version of SPMC....

The TV automagically detects the 3D signal when running a 3D encoded HSBS film as it always had done. So I see no change for me.

However my Panasonic GT50 TV has never automatically switched to 3D mode but always detects the signal and tells me to press the 3D button on the remote. I have never known it to be any different.

When the viewing of 3D ends it always states 3D stereoscopic mode disabled and the TV always returns back to 2D mode.
