Adjust display refresh rate causes audio out of sync #649

I recently upgraded my TV to a new 4K TV, so following the recommended SPMC settings for the Nvidia Shield and 4K TVs [https://github.com/koying/SPMC/wiki/Recommended-video-settings-for-SPMC%2C-NVIDIA-Shield-TV-and-UHD-%284K%29-TVs-with-4K-GUI](link to wiki) I had enabled "Adjust display refresh rate to "always on".

However every video I play seems to be slightly out of sync. It's less than a second, but it's still noticeable. After setting "adjust display refresh rate" back to OFF, the sync issue goes away.

Any reason why this is?

I am experiencing the same issue, although I'm running at 1080P.

With DD/DTS passthrough enabled in SPMC, any time the refresh rate switches to 24 fps, the audio track is out of sync. This only affects DTS/DD content from SPMC, any other video sources played on the ShieldTV are unaffected.

This happens despite using the "audio sync" setting of my AVR, which I have to use regardless of the issue above. Disabling the autosync feature on the AVR does not fix this.

I had the same issue but was able to fix it by adding a .5 second pause before playback. You'll find the setting directly below the display refresh rate.
