DTS not working #718

Hello. I'm having problem getting the DTS to working. I have my AV Amplifier connected via Toslink SPDIF to the Philips Android TV on with I have installed SPMC. AV Amplifier supprots Dolby Digital and DTS but only the DD is working when there is movie with DTS I hear sound interference,cracking, overal disturbing noices. Could someone help me.

I use TOSLINK for digital audio as well. Depending on the version of Android and Kodi you could have problems. I have a s912 AMlogic box running Marshmellow 6.0 and while DTS works it skips. One thing to get around it (and its not the best) is in Kodi Audio options select "AC3 Transcoding" -- This will convert your DTS tracks to AC3 and should work. Only option I am aware of without modifying firmware / KODI version

Android 5.0 does not support DTS. Some AVR can detect DTS via a hack, but not yours, obviously. Use transcoding (Channels: 2.0; Disable DTS passthrough; Enable Transcoding) to have DTS transcoded to AC3 and passed to your AVR.
