Question, if using SPMC how should you configure the audio settings on the Android side of it?

USB audio mode: high quality stereo stereo surround sound 5.1

Surround Sound: Auto Always Never

HDMI 5.1 Audio: on or off

I have a Sony sound bar, SA-WCT100

Thanks

SPMC : 16.5-5 Shield TV (2015) : 5.0

Recently I upgrade Shiled TV to 5.0 and audio-passthrough failed. So I google this issue for fix. Now the DTS and Dolby Digital working again. But DTS-HD MA still not working. And Netflix APP without 5.1 sound still. I think this upgrade have bugs. Waitting Nvidia release patch to fix this.

For the Shield TV: SPMC-16.5.81-spmc-fce21e6-aarch64.apk

I agree with the recommendations above.

LilSnoop40 commented 7 years ago

ok so go with 16.5.5 or is it ok to use SPMC-16.5.81-spmc-fce21e6-aarch64.apk.

thanks

classicjazz commented 7 years ago

I would use 16.5.81 if you are comfortable with beta software and ADB based installation.

LilSnoop40 commented 7 years ago

yep, i'm good with that. ok will give it a try.

thank you

Classicjazz, question i installed the version you suggested used adb. now when i click on restore i get this error "com.semperpax.spmc16 not installed" any ideas how to get my back up on here now. normally works fine.

classicjazz commented 7 years ago

The beta version is designed to be run without uninstalling the last production version. So it is located at com.semperpax.spmctest

LilSnoop40 commented 7 years ago

great, i changed the path now the restore is working.

thanks sir

@koying Hi Chris,

Which build is the best for our Nvidia Shield?

Robinjoeh commented 7 years ago

Hello.

With Nvidia Shield you can use aarch64. There is only minor performance differences between these versions, so I doubt you notice any difference.

LilSnoop40 commented 7 years ago

i updated to version 16.5.80-spmc-9ba4490-aarch64.apk. so far only thing that i noticed was i had to apply the file below because after playing a movie or tv show using Release Hub add-on it would playing again on its own. didn't have this issue with any other add-on. "http://download.semperpax.com/spmc/android-arm/SPMC-fixplugincache-fdd0d37-armeabi-v7a.apk"

Thanks
