Auto Refresh Rate is not working on Amlogic s905 Lollipop firmware on "Iconbit xds94k". Firmware has " HDMI self adaptation" function, but it doesn't work correctly with Kodi and SMPC

Yep. Permission is now denied for kodi to change resolution. What do you mean by "HDMI self adaptation doesn't work correctly"? Is amlcodec enabled?

Firmware has function called "HDMI self adaptation", it switches frame rate automatically for all video players and for Kodi too. But in Kodi it switches frame rate not only on start/stop video, but every time when rewinding video by up/down or left/right keys. On other hardware, for example HTPC with openelec, Kodi doesn't switch frame rate during playback and rewinding, only at start/stop or leaving full screen mode.

I'm understanding that this is firmware fault, but in other players everything works correctly. This issue only with Kodi and smpc.....

Confirming Kodi settings the Refresh rate switching setting is selected to - Start.Stop ?

Otherwise you have Firmware issues. I've seen this before on other AML Android devices, and unless you can compile your own Firmware then this will not get fixed. Go to the Freaktab website and search for decent Firmware.

Best solution is to run LibreELEC Krypton on the S905, running it from a microSDHC card - like everybody else is doing
