Per the title..

And calling functions like android settings - causes crashes

Also - attempting to run apps from the android apps menu causes either a) nothing b) crash c)launch - I'd say 80/10/10 ratio - I assume it's all related

I can confirm the problems running apps from the android apps menu. I'm using a FireTV v1 running Android 5.1 Lollipop.

same here, android settings will crash when openend via SPMC on Amlogisc s905x Android 6.

Did notice in SPMC 16.6-81 the wait for network bug has been fixed.
