OZ Weather issue in 16.6.81 #906

I am in Australia and use the Kodi OZ Weather addon for keeping up with the weather in SPMC on my Nvidia Shield. I also use the advanced settings and include an updated MyWeather.xml and DialogSeekBar.xml files downloaded from the Kodi Wiki website (http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Oz_Weather). This addon has a great weather radar section in the advanced settings.
It works great in 16.6.6 but when I install the OZ Weather addon to 16.6.81 the weather radar only shows the cloud and not the topography.
The Official Kodi Wiki has this comment: "If you get just the rain and no backgrounds on your radar, re-start XBMC and it will reload the skin & textures and the radar should come up ok. Don't hammer the location/refresh button - it can take up to 30 seconds or so to update, and you can confuse it if you go too fast." This suggested solution does not work in 16.6.81. There is no background despite numerous re starts.
I have uninstalled 16.6.81 and reverted to 16.6.6 and all works well again.

Oz Weather working fine in 16.7.0.
