SPMC in Amazon Appstore for Amazon Fire TV? #93

While Kodi was not accepted into Amazon Appstore I believe that SPMC was not actually rejected but instead you made a choice to withdraw it on purpose? Wondering if you would reconsider this past choice and resubmit SPMC to the official Amazon Appstore for Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick?

Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Fire TV Stick series are great value to us users and hugely popular products, so would be great if we could simply install SPMC app from the official Amazon App Store so that we can use SPMC on Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick without have to side-load it.

I'm also thinking that a such choice could also long-term prove to be good for Kodi too, as if SPMC is accepted into the official Amazon Appstore and can stay there for a longer period to show its popularity then it would in the future be harder for Amazon to reject Kodi as well. That is, harder for Amazon to justify their exception policy both internally within their company and externally to us customers.

Well, even when SPMC was in Amazon' store, it was not "approved" for AFTV, so the value is/was actually close to zero... And before you ask, there was no reason given. It's just their privilege to "choose" what app is approved or not.

Might it be different now if SPMC resubmitted today? Could it be that Amazon might not be as strict today with third-party apps for Fire TV as they was before when Fire TV was a brand new product?

Highly unlikely to be the case.
