SPMC/Nvidia Shield Audio Question #949

I have a x265 video file. I have the latest model Nvidia Shield and I have followed Koying's recommended Audio Settings in my SPMC 17.4. I have a Yamaha RXV-373 amplifier connected to the Shield via HDMI. The x265 video file shows on the Nvidia as 720, x265 HEVC, AAC, 5.1, 2.55. During Playback the Yamaha shows the format as PCM. There isn't a choice of audio streams. The audio stream is seen as English -5.1 (1/1) and is greyed out.

I also have iso file of a movie with DTS audio. When I play the movie with the DTS audio file, my Yamaha shows and plays it back as DTS.

Can I get my audio playback of AAC 5.1 to playback as 5.1 audio? Do I need to check the audio settings in SPMC or is the problem with my Yamaha RXV-375?

Is there a setting somewhere I have missed?

Audio set to RAW in System Settings (need to set this in two places) and works. Still shows PMC but when you look at "Speakers" you can see 6 speakers are receiving signal.

AAC 5.1 will be played as multichannel PCM, thers is nothing wrong with what you are seeing. You will only get DTS if a DTS stream is included.
