Hmm, this was a bug in an earlier version which I thought I fixed. Are you
using the newest version of Tikzedt?

(The text editor window is there but has width 0, ... actually it should not be
allowed to be width 0, this is in fact a bug in a component I am using, not in
my code.)

A workaround is to close Tikzedt, delete the config file
(C:\Users\(your name)\Appdata\Roaming\Tikzedt\Tikzedt\0.2.3.0\Tikzedt.conf)
and restart Tikzedt

May be my problem is because I using 2 monitors. The left is in portrait
position, the right one in lanscape positin. I am working with TikzEdit on the
right one, but TikzEdist is always startin on tle left one and I have to move
the window.

I am also using two monitors but mine are the exact monitors and also in the
same positions.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? I am having this problem too (single monitor). Should I just reinstall?

UPDATE: I tried reinstall, but no use. Must be some secondary file in installation is broken. Note, this occurred immediately after I tried to use a decoration.

Hello guys. I had the same problem. I deleted the setting file "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\TikzEdt\TikzEdt\0.2.3.0\TikzEdt.settings" Then restart the TikzEdt. The code window appears!
