4 years ago Sure, you have access to this repo, right? You can push this yourself. Great idea, I can contribute if you can own it. I think the first thing we need is milestones with a calendar, not to make a big deal out of it.
There was an alleycat ride featuring the phones a while ago but I don't think the stuff they did is really applicable for ideas. That was a good format for interacting with the phones because only one or two people were at any one phone at a time.
There was also a pedalpalooza ride a while ago centered around Umbrella projects, they stopped at a phone and I gave a little speech.
TBH it might be harder to make the phones interesting to a crowd, but maybe that's not the point. Maybe make it more interactive by hooking up a speaker and having people take turns making calls that everyone can hear? I have one of those in-ear mic things, the kind that RBCP used for his video, I wasn't able to get it working with my celly, but get that to a loudspeaker and everyone can hear both ends of a conversation.

I'm offering to host/MC a fundraiser ride for Pedalpalooza 2020. We ride, talk about each phone, ask for donations, get hyped! This is an initial step to show commitment....but is intended to be a work in progress.
I would manage/own ride logistics (coordination/publicity mainly) but would like help (probably from @kra) for talking/content at each spot.
Sound fun? If so, I'll follow by creating some issues (I'll own many).
