As of Miniforge3 23.3.1-0, use of Mambaforge is discouraged as the two installers are identical. Miniforge will be the main installer supported moving forwards (https://github.com/conda-forge/miniforge). Mambaforge has not been deprecated and will continue to work but will not be actively developed, therefore migration is advisable.
Update: mamaforge will no longer be supported and the installers removed after Jan 2025.
