Hey,

I recently bought a meross device and I'm thinking of trying to get this integration into home assistant core and I was wondering if we can have some chats on how to best approach this. Please let me know if you want to talk about it and feel free to message me on discord.

Hello @joostlek, If you like I'm up for this from now on...If you're still of the idea we can get in contact. I'm not expert of discord so you'll have to train me a bit (I have an account on that though) or we could just have a skype call and start from there.

Discord is amazing, I can teach you that.

I am currently in the last weeks of my thesis after May I expect to have more breathing room, but I do think we can start making preparations about thinking already.

Hello @joostlek , Everything's good but now (beside time for some vacations) I'm really struggling with other jobs.. At any rate, we could start working on that...I might be a bit unresponsive for some days but I'm definitely glad to help. Tell me how you'd like to proceed

Maybe a good first step is to just have some contact on discord and just have a talk and explore a bit how the integration could fit in core. Since you said you had no experience with Discord, You can join the HA discord via https://www.home-assistant.io/join-chat and then you can probably find my name there and start a private message :)

I think I could have some time to chat on tuesday..in the meantime I'll start understand how this works...I've joined HA discord back in the days but then I didn't really get to know how it was working ;) so I'm not actively tracking anything.
