2) While Ant is light-weight and allows you to control building process step by step, Gradle has several decent peculiarities:
it makes sure that all declared dependencies are properly and timely executed for every random task marked to execute in setup
it can be easily integrated in continuous delivery pipelines
it has tons of open source plugins available
it can be easily integrated with Ant (so you can still run Ant tasks on Gradle if you want, though why would you want it?)
