Incompatible with the popular Android devices #135

The app supports min SDK 23, which is incompatible with some of the popular Android devices currently in use such as Galaxy J2, J1 Ace, Grand Prime, and Oppo A37f. These Android devices support min SDK 22. You can either decrease the SDK support of the current APK or provide multiple APK support.

There are still many of us requesting an update to an app which, for us, hasn't been updated since 2016 & is buggy (though still usable).

We don't see why we have been excluded & would like to know why we are being asked to spend money replacing perfectly functional hardware.

I think this question was answered in the bug that you reference. I'm not asking you to spend any money (which should be evident by the fact that this app is free; to download, to use, and to change, without ads). I'm not willing to spend my time (which is money) supporting a version of android that I don't use, let alone have any way of testing. Feel free to complain on the android development forums about how their API deprecation policy makes it extremely difficult to support multiple versions of android. You won't be alone. If you can come up with a reasonable way to make this code backward compatible with the version of android you care about, I will gladly accept a pull request.

I'm not sure where this F-Droid version came from. It certainly wasn't from me. I have only ever released this app (for free) on the Google Play Store. You can check there for the latest version or download it directly from this repository.

That seems to be a full & frank answer, thank you.

I have now spent the money & tonight bought a new device (mostly because updates keep doubling the size of many apps) from an online store, I await it's delivery & anticipate discovering the new features of your app.
