2 years ago I also got a similar error, except I gave the path to the VisualVM app since it mentioned executable. Is this plugin only for Windows?

2 years ago It should run everywhere, are you sure /Applications/VisualVM.app is the right executable?

2 years ago not at all! What is it supposed to point to - VisualVM? IntelliJ? Java? a jar of my app?

2 years ago VisualVM executable. Perhaps something like .../MyApp.app/Contents/bin/executable

2 years ago Thanks very much for your help! It works now. The path I needed was /Applications/VisualVM.app/Contents/MacOS/visualvm
