its a live CD, its not meant to be loaded from the hard disk. By the sounds of
things, your PC is much too old. I think minimum spec as at least 500Mhz+ cpu
and
256Mb of ram.

the kernel is loading fine from the harddisk, same for the ramdisk. But
system.sqs
seems to be not mounted

jp.hayward: Yes, it is a live cd. But I think after the bootloader recognizes
which
device to boot from, the kernel should not have any problems for booting. It is
as
good as making a live usb drive...
My system is definitely a decade old, but I'm typing from it this very minute and
its fully functional with Macpup ! If only I could get Android to work on this
one,
I am sure it can find a multitude of uses for me. I am sure this would be true
for
anyone who has a older system as a spare.
If Macpup can boot and work wonderfully from my system (with all that graphics
jin-
ga-la-la including), I am sure Android too can be made to work that way,
barring we
can get Dalvik to perform well...
Sorry for the long story, I just wanted to clarify my objective. Hope I could
get to
recompile this or someone could very kindly afford some time to compile it with
only
the i386 instruction set... I am now trying to understand the sources as of now.
Antonio:
Sorry for not reporting; I tried with my P4 and it would just get struck at the
Live
Android splash screen... does not move forward and I can't get any command
terminal
by pressing ctrl+F1... I didn't get the issue you have with system.sqs... are
you
getting this err after the splash screen or before ?

I am also hoping for a recompiled kernel without the need for cmov. Anyone have
any
resources how I might be able to do this? Or is there any kind soul out there
willing
to do it themselves?

escaladez: Since I could not get the source code for live-android, I moved on
to android-x86 and trying to
compile it now - let me see if I could spend some real time doing this... I
hope that live-android source would
be released one day - someone let me know in case of any information on
live-android source code...

Hi escaladez,
Try Android-x86 project. It's much better than live-android.
They also provides full source code so you can easily customize
everything yourself. See http://www.android-x86.org
Very nice screenshots in their websites.
