Pact Wizard has no Spontaneous Convert #5

As noted.

The pact's spells are added to the spellbook, and can be memorized even if from a prohibited school, but you can't convert other spells of that level of higher into those spells without preparing them.

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

It works fine on my end. Are you sure you understand how the feature works? It creates variants: a little arrow at the top of the spell's icon in the spellcasting menu or in the hotbar where you can transform a memorized spell into a patron spell (just like clerics with cure wounds).

CantripN commented 2 years ago

I'm sure. Could be that's it's failing due to being used with Multiple Archetypes? I don't have that arrow.

For that matter, Idealise (the Wizard Discovery) doesn't do anything when picked for that character.

CantripN commented 2 years ago

Confirmed, it works differently when used with Multiple Archetypes, just adds the spells to the book. Works fine if I only pick Pact Wizard.

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

Your second archetype wouldn't happen to be Thassilonian Specialist by chance? The spontaneous conversion feature specifically looks for the Wizard spellbook and Thassilonian Specialists have a different spellbook. Idealize is also normally blocked for Pride and Lust spellbooks.

CantripN commented 2 years ago

Indeed it is. Any chance that can be patched? :)

CantripN commented 2 years ago

And Idealize is pick-able, since I'm not Pride or Lust (I picked Sloth), it just doesn't DO anything. Spellls don't get the +2.

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

I'll add the Sin magic spellbooks to Pact Wizard shortly. As for Idealize, I can't reproduce your issue. What I'd like for you to do is:

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

Try this tentative fix, it should solve the spontaneous conversion issue when using multiple archetypes. Release.zip

CantripN commented 2 years ago

I'll test the fix tonight, thanks!

As for Idealize, tested with 2 characters, using Reduce Person, Bull's Strength, Fox's Cunning. They all did +2 as normal, not +4. I'll upload the files you asked for.

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

Reduce Person is a size bonus so it wouldn't be affected anyway. The others should though.

Have the same problem for Exploiter Pact wizard archetype stack, my patron spells is not available for spontaneous cast, have no arrow on the spells, spells only added to the wizard book like usual spells. Other installed mods: Toy box, TabletopTweaks, do not know if it some compatibility issues.

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

Exploiter Wizard has a different spellbook too apparently. Try this fix. Release.zip

CantripN commented 2 years ago

Just to update, the spell-convert fix you made works just fine. Idealize however, still does nothing. Bull's Strength is granting +4 as usual, for example.

Exploiter Pact Wizard is working correctly now after the fix. Would be great to drop all the stacking issue fixes in new update for this mod.

templer10 commented 2 years ago

i can also confirm idealize does nothing

kreaddy commented 2 years ago

Idealize should work now. I'll roll all these in a release once 1.2 is out of beta since I'm pretty sure it'll break things and I can't try it myself due to being a Gog user. Release.zip
