SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired errors

Describe the bug

I am getting a bunch of errors stating "cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired". It's not on every request, but it's on some requests.

I've followed these steps: https://firebase-php.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting.html#forbidden-errors, and it is still not working.

The "certificate has expired" makes me think it's a problem on the Firebase side. Would you agree, or could this still be some kind of issue on my server end?

Uh, that's a weird one! I checked the SSL certificate of your database URI and checked if I could retrieve the data (I could, are you sure the DB is supposed to be open?), and both turned out fine, at least on my end.

I triggered the integration test suite here on GitHub Actions - it has errors because of brittle tests, but no SSL certificate errors.

Local tests also didn't result in errors…

As much as I would like to help, at the moment it seems as if it was something on your server. What I would try is:

Confirm that your server environment matches your local environment (assuming your outputs above are from your local computer)
Update to PHP 8.3.2 (it would surprise me if that solved it, but, hey 🤷 😅)
On the server, check the cURL version with curl --version, and update it, if possible (mine is 8.4.0)
Check if there's a proxy in between (I don't know if that could even be a reason, I'm just brainstorming 😅)
Try accessing the database directly with cURL (from your local machine and from your server), e.g. with
```
curl -iv -XGET https://trackmeet-io.firebaseio.com/meet_30391/event_detail/Individual-1099727.json
```
This will also output detailed SSL information that could help with debugging

I just noticed you saying

It's not on every request, but it's on some requests.

That's another indication that it's not something on the Firebase side of things. Something seems to be off 🤔. I know it's dumb, but have you tried switching it off and on again? The server and/or the network? 🙈

@bennyt2 I am also experiencing this issue. It started yesterday. It is also not for every request. I have opened a support ticket with Google and waiting for a response. I am in the process of re-releasing our application to production just to make sure it isn't an issue on the web servers themselves.

@jeromegamez @bennyt2 Google support has reached out to me and mentioned that they have noted similar reports from other users and have escalated this to their Realtime Database team. I have provided them detailed logs of my issue. It seems this is something on their end as of now. My last occurrence was about 2 hours ago but I also redeployed our web application around that time so that it running on new Ubuntu instances. Whether that had any impact on the issue or not, I am not sure.
