When uploading a file, the compressed version gets saved into /storage/emulated/0/Pictures, which results in being shown (and saved) twice in photo apps like Google Photos.
Steps to Reproduce
Click on the plus.
"Send Image"
Select an image.
Send it.
See the image appear in /storage/emulated/0/Pictures - with a different file name (for me, its JPEG_20240507_135654_3696648213866645545.jpg).
Expected Behavior
The compressed image shouldn't get saved into /storage/emulated/0/Pictures.
